Matt McDonald is currently a 5th year senior studying Architectural Engineering at Penn State. In May of 2018, he will graduate with an Integrated Bachelor/Master of Architectural Engineering. Matt is focusing on construction management and has been involved with the Student Partnership for Achieving Construction Excellence (S:PACE) club for the past four years.

This past summer, Matt interned with DPR Construction in San Diego, CA. He worked on site as a project engineer on a life science research facility. For the previous two years, Matt had interned with Barton Malow first in Orlando performing preconstruction and then in State College on the Whitmore Lab Renovation. Before that, he worked for McDonald Building Company performing construction labor and carpentry on multiple projects in Philadelphia. 

In the summer of 2016, Matt studied abroad in Rome studying architecture through Penn State. His biggest passion is traveling, and after studying abroad he visited 7 other countries in Europe. This past summer, Matt took a road trip to California and visited all of the National Parks in Utah on the way back.
